How we build the New legend Hemi
  Return to previous page

Every New Hemi begins as a stock block that's ready to assemble. All blocks are thoroughly checked prior to beginning assembly to assure you that your engind will function flawlessly. Powder coating is standard with every block.

Indy Cylinder Head has refined and perfected the use of state of the art 5 axis CNC porting. This assures you of having the best possible heads available. We acheive a flow of 370 cfm with a standard 2.080 intake valve. Flow is where the horsepower is developed and we know how to do it right!

For those that want even more horsepower custom higher chambers are an option.

Every block is stroke clearanced, diamond honed, powder coated and assembled with absolute attention given to the smallest detail.

Shown is a 426 short block with Indy stroker rotating assembly, steel billet main caps and ARP head and main hardware. Can't you just feel the power?

All 4.050 stroker cranks are gun milled. All four rod pins are drilled to remove weight and new billet toner wheels are standard.

Notice the dual keys for the harmonic damper or blower drive hub. This is not a stock crank!

Shown here is the rotating assembly for the 6.1. The 4.050 stroke crank will fit the 5.7 "392" or the 6.1 "426".

Part # for the 6.1: 6.1-R6-426
Part # for the 5.7: 5.7-R6-39This is not a stock crank!

Indy steel billet main caps with ARP main studs and side bolts double the strength of the bottom end. Black oxide finish.

Callies 4340 material crankshafts are 1200 horsepower rated! The weight is only 55 lbs! New billet toner wheel and two keys for the harmonic balancer. All crankjshafts are gun milled with all four pins lightened.

Just look at these ports! We get an incredible 370 cfm from stock castings. The custom beehive valve springs are polished to prevent stress cracks and titanium retainers reduce the valvetrain mass. Rockers are stock.

Intake castings also get the full CNC treatment. Not one bit of material remains that doesn't serve a useful purpose.

Mahle coated 426 pistons with 10:1 compression ratio weigh only 440 grams. Different ratios are available. Notice that the lifters are in a horizontal position.

Steel billet main caps shown with ARP main studs and 12 point nuts. This replaces the powdered metal caps on the stock 6.1 block.

ATI's all new blow up proof damper is designed to fit the keyed Compstar crank snout. It also fits stock cranks and accepts stock serpentine multi vee belts. Timing cover and water pump set up are 100% stock.

Prior to shipment every engine is dyno tested and tuned.
